New Delhi: The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) on Wednesday reported that they were disavowing a restriction on 31 organizations, the vast majority of them new companies, from taking part in grounds positions.

The move comes a year after the organizations were set on the rundown.

The boycott was implemented after the new businesses pulled back offers they had made to understudies at the IITs, abandoning them. Among the organizations on the rundown were human services administrations supplier Portea Medical, sustenance tech organization Zomato and online vender of child mind items, Hopscotch.

Kaustubha Mohanty, facilitator of AIPC said there were three reasons the boycott was disavowed: one, a few understudies need to work for some huge new companies in the rundown; two, the boycott was for one year just, subsequently a choice was required before the arrangement season started; and three, the new IITs could profit by having more organizations in the blend.

"We are not against new companies as such. We stood firm a year ago to make an impression on organizations that contract our understudies and after that pull back offers," Mohanty, likewise an educator at IIT Guwahati said.
